Material Notes:
A low-cost granular mixture of nitrates formulated for tempering steels where the lower melting point and wider working range of AL-2 are not needed. Like AL-2, AL-3 is a highly fluid bath that offers low dragout because of its fast drainage properties. It is another non-chloride alternative.
