Material Notes:
An economical cyanide base salt which produces hard wear resistance properties for high speed tool steels in low dragout and/or low production use. It will maintain optimum operating characteristics over long periods of time, and provide an active operating bath on short notice. Casing is achieved at lower temperatures than for carburizing or carbon nitriding where iron nitride is selectively formed as a thin case on the tool surface.
