Texaco Hydraulic WAY 32
Subcategory: Fluid
Close Analogs: CPS Number: 221501; MSDS Number: 8647
Material Notes: Texaco Hydraulic-Way 32 delivers value through:- Excellent separation from metalworking coolants — The SKC (SKC Gleittechnik) coolant separation test showed excellent separation from a wide variety of commercial coolants after one hour.
- Reduced smoking — Improved separation from coolants reduces tramp oil that can promote smoking in metalworking applications.
- Excellent adhesion — Stringiness agent reduces leakage and helps cut lubrication costs.
- Smooth tool motion — Low coefficient of static friction eliminates "stick-slip" or jerky movement of machine tool sliding parts which have cast iron or plastic moving on cast iron.
- Multipurpose performance — Can be used as general purpose shop lubricants for gear lubrication, air tools, and hand oiling, as well as way lubrication on lathes.
Texaco Hydraulic-Way 32 is a high quality lubricant designed to meet the critical lubrication demands for the slides and ways of machine tools. Texaco Hydraulic Way 32 is formulated with high quality base stocks and an additive system that provides extreme pressure and antiwear protection, foam suppression, thermal stability, and demulsification. Texaco Hydraulic-Way 32 provides an unusual adhesive or tacky quality. It reduces leakage and adheres to metal surfaces providing a tenacious lubricant film. Due to its adhesiveness, this oil forms a tenacious film which resists being wiped away by the slowly moving parallel surfaces of the way or being washed away by cutting fluids. Texaco Hydraulic-Way 32 is friction modified to meet the exacting lubrication demands for the slides and ways of machine tools. Its inherent low coefficient of static friction eliminates "stick-slip" or jerky motion of sliding parts on machine tools, which increase operating efficiency of the tools and smoother overall operation. Texaco Hydraulic-Way 32 provides excellent way oil separation from the metalworking coolant in the reservoir, reducing the adverse affect of tramp oil on the coolant stability. Its antiwear and extreme pressure properties protect the sliding surfaces. This oil protects cast iron and bronze surfaces from rust and corrosion, and is resistant to oxidation to provide long lubricant life. Texaco Hydraulic-Way 32 has proven excellence in the lubrication of ways in many types of machine tools, e.g. lathes, planers, shapers, drilling and tapping machines, etc., including those operating at high loads. Texaco Hydraulic-Way 32 has been successfully field tested in Okuma and Moriseiki machine tools. This oil performs well in the lubrication of enclosed gears and all types of industrial plain and antifriction bearings. Additionally, its tacky quality makes these oils suitable for once-through applications, e.g. lubrication of chain drives. Texaco Hydraulic-Way 32 meets the requirements of: - Cincinnati Machine P-53 for way lubricants
- The Bijur filterability test.
Typical test data are average values only. Minor variations which do not affect product performance are to be expected in normal manufacturing.
