This page allows you to search Polymeric Films in Metric Units. We also have a page that allows you to Search Polymer Films in Common US Units.

MatWeb has more general property-based searches (Not restricted to films) in Metric or Common US units.

This page was created to facilitate specialized searches for film grade polymer resins. The properties in the drop down boxes are vital for the specification of film resins, but are often unimportant for the bulk of the engineering materials that MatWeb tracks. Data sheets for over 2000 film grade resin grades are available from this page - polyethylene (HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE), polypropylene, ionomer, EVA, nylon, polyester, and more. These film resins can be processed by blown film, extrusion, casting, or other processes and are used for many purposes including packaging and laminations.

Choose a Material Property
Scroll down and highlight a material property from the list below.  You may choose up to three material properties.  Keep in mind that the units are Metric.  Then Set the Range (required for each material property) by entering the minimum and/or maximum values for the chosen material property.

Click on one of the radio buttons below.  The default option is All material property ranges.  See Property-Based Search Hints on how to use this option.

Click on the 'Find' button below to submit the query.

Find

Instructions: First, select a material property from the drop-down list and enter the value(s) for the range. You may enter a minimum AND/OR a maximum value; one or both values are fine. Select up to two more material properties and set the ranges. Choose whether you want the resulting materials to match at least one or all of the material properties. Then click the 'Find' button. Notes:

  • Scientific notation may be used in the Min. and Max. range boxes (e. g. 1.04E-16).
  • Text searches can now be perfomed from any page - use the Quick Search in the bar at the top right.
